The FreeBSD Toolkit DVD is a collection of additional material that does not fit on the FreeBSD 4-disc CDROM or DVD.

Within the Toolkit, you'll find lots of distfiles and CVS/SVN repositories tarball. If you have slow or no Internet access, the distfiles offer you about 2.7GB of source code distributions you would otherwise have to download.

The distfiles on the Toolkit DVD that can be used to compile many popular opensource software like Xorg, GNOME, KDE, etc.
