The FreeBSD Toolkit is a collection of additional material that does not fit on the official FreeBSD 4-disc set.

Within the Toolkit, you'll find six CDROMS packed with open-source software, including packages for FreeBSD 6.1 and distfiles that can be used with any version of FreeBSD.

If you dislike compiling software from ports or source, the packages are for you. If you have slow or no Internet access, the distfiles offer you gigabytes of source code distributions you would otherwise have to download. The Toolkit makes a perfect companion for any FreeBSD system.
